9 May 2012: Pruksa achieves sales revenue in the first quarter of 5.669 billion Baht and 4.675 billion Baht of income. The company manages to enjoy speedy recovery in spite of the flood. In the second quarter, the company gears up to open new big project in Pattanakarn worth 12 billion Baht.
Mr. Thongma Vijitpongpun, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pruksa Real Estate PCL, said that, “In the first quarter of 2012, the company could achieve 5.669 billion Baht of sales revenue, an increase by 2,312 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2011 with sales revenue of 235 million Baht. Of the total, townhouse sales accounting for 33 per cent, single house sales 21 per cent and condominium sales 47 per cent. The total income was 4.675 billion Baht and net profit of 663 million Baht. Although the company was adversely affected by the flood late last year, the company managed to enjoy fast recovery because the company had adjusted business plan in accordance with changing circumstances. The company has diversified the product portfolio including single house, townhouse and condominium in various locations to capture the real demand group. In addition, the customers’ behaviour in choosing their residences has barely changed. Therefore, the performance of Pruksa in the first quarter is considered satisfactory.”
This year, Pruksa has adjusted the balance score card of the organisation by using supply value chain to determine the business perspectives. The company has also streamlined and strengthened the internal operations in various fields such as procurement and customer services to make the data collection, information analysis and reporting more effective. The company will use the information that has been gathered to improve the quality of products. In addition, the company also invested in digital marketing to improve the Web site www.pruksa.com to modernise the Web site to prepare for the changing behaviour of customers in the online world,” Mr. Thongma said.
Mr. Prasert Taedulayasathit, Director and Chief Business Officer, Pruksa Real Estate PCL, revealed that, “Sales revenue in the first quarter of Pruksa improved from the last quarter of 2011. A highest amount of sales comes from condominiums 2.653 billion Baht, townhouses 1.874 billion Baht and single houses 1.172 billion Baht.
Seven projects have been opened in the first quarter. They are 4 townhouse projects, namely Pruksa Next Petchkasem 81, Ban Pruksa 58/2 Ladkrabang, Pruksa Ville 54 Rama V and The Connect Up 3 Rattanathibet. The company also opened 1 single house project, that is The Gallery Pinklao-Phuttamonthon 4 and 2 condominium projects, namely the new phase of The Tree Interchange and The Plum Condominium Ladprao 101. These projects comprise 2,595 units with a combined value of 5.591 billion Baht. As for the second quarter, Pruksa will launch new project which is considered a flagship project of Pruksa in Pattanakarn on an area of 400 rais, worth 12 billion Baht. The project comprises single houses, with the starting price from 4 million Baht, and townhouses from 2 million Baht.
